From where-ever we are!

We have just returned from a very exciting trip to Nepal. Nepal is a country filled with natural beauty, and a beautiful people. Unfortunately, centuries of oppression and several decades of civil strife and war have left the people far behind. It is consistently listed as one of the world's poorer countries and lacks many modern conveniences. Every where you look in Katmandu, the countries largest city and also it's capital, you see signs for education at overseas institutions. The city struggles along with only 8 hours of electricity per day, which strains the factories and has produced even more unemployment. Once you leave the city, things become even harder.

It is an area in desperate need of training. The people are willing, even desperate, to study and learn, but the situations they live in and the cost of this education makes even the smallest amount of schooling beyond the reach of many. As we teamed up with several Christian pastors in Katmandu, it became apparent that our inexpensive training technology would be excellent in these circumstances. We left several of the Mini Palm Units with the pastors for evaluation and testing, and connected them with two locals that we know who could help with the production of the materials they would want to use.
